You have just experienced first hand a self-fulfilling prophecy, meaning you caused a prediction to come true simply because you expected it to come true.

Our beliefs and expectations about a situation or a person can affect how we behave towards said event or individual. Think of it as the circle of life. Our beliefs influence how we behave.
